Home-buying competition is fierce on the Sunshine Coast BC with continuing price rises and low inventory levels breaking all 10-year averages.

The average price of a detached home for the month of April 2017 is up 20% over last month to $723,030.

Inventory levels are up 18% along with a slight increase in sales to 67 homes which is expected this time of year.

Townhome and Condo Sales

Townhome and condo sales are up 13% to an average price of $396,199.

Twenty-two attached units sold in the month of April 2017 almost double last month with inventory level remaining even.


Land only sales double to 22 units in April 2017 over the previous month. The average price per property was $408,181 up 10% with 29 new listings on the market and 291 total properties for sale. Sales success ratio was 7.5% which is still a buyer’s market.
