Squamish Nation Bear Carving at GPAG

Squamish Nation Arts And Culture Exhibit AT GPAG

Locals from near and far gathered at the Gibsons Public Art Gallery (GPAG) today for a celebration of Squamish Nation arts and culture.

The  elders and artist shared stories, music and prayer dedicated to the past, present and future. A wide range of art displayed the depth of the culture including textiles, jewelry, metalwork, wood carvings and paintings with some peices dating back to the 1950’s.

Join in the festivities from June 29-July 24, 2016 at the GPAG. Entry is free and workshops by the artists are ongoing.
